Jogging for Jesus

St Joseph' Oratory, Montreal

How about we run to St Joseph's Oratory this morning? Seemed like a good idea at the time. A beautiful sunny morning in the city and the views from the oratory are stunning. It is one of the jewels of Montreal and is visible from miles around. I wasn't quite prepared for the devout older ladies who were ascending the stairs on their knees though. It seemed rude to jog past them so we slowed to a respectful walking pace. The ascent to the oratory is often completed by believers in this way and they even have a set of wooden steps next to the concrete ones reserved especially for the task. It looked like hard work to me but by the time we had picked up our jogging pace and got to the top I was mentioning Jesus' name rather a lot too.
